The Brotherhood is infamous for murder being the only thing, that the player can do in this faction. Seems like the release of the Dark Brotherhood is coming closer. Is Ulfric's spy network (not to mention the Empire's hush hush crew being incapable) so weak it wouldn't receive news like that? (not like every guard talks about it) Why is the General more important than the Emperor? Or, maybe an alternative depending on who you are aligned with, ie assassinate Ulfric instead of the Emperor. The Dark Brotherhood: I dont want to be a murderer. Or set off new questlines for example, maybe new treaties with the Thalmor (or boot them out, or not), kick out straggler Imperialists etc.
The Dark Brotherhood Initiates, unlike some other followers, are essential. "We killed your king, so we win" or something like that. There you should find a door stuck into a wall somewhere down there.
(Maybe 7-8,000 can't remember was very tired). Why wouldn't it have an impact on the civil war questiline? It would be a great coup for the Stormcloaks. The destroy the dark brotherhood quest was disappointing to say the least, very short and almost no dialog so I could see why some would rather join than destroy them, I think I got 6,000 septums for destroying them. I did so, and was rewarded for my efforts. In Skyrim, should I join the Dark Brotherhood or destroy them You can do both, but it depends on what you want to do. 200: After killing Astrid, the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, I was commissioned by Commander Maro to wipe out the assassins' Sanctuary. I should now report back to Commander Maro.
Why is there no impact after the Emperor is killed (or not killed) ? If he was indeed assassinated wouldn't there be rather strong repercussions on the whole civil war? Some sign other than the occassional guard comment. I have killed every assassin in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. Although there was one thing I always wondered.
